17 November Mama's Bungalows, Ko Chang
Another very pleasant day with lightbreezes.
Pineapple pancakes with banana slices on top plus muesli and Myanmar tea. Leisurely
morning, then set off at 11am near high tide for 6km along west coast of Ko Chang.
Detoured up creek to visit shop, but would not open for a few days. Rode waves back
at sea. Landed at Ao Tadaeng with bold striped of light and dark sand. Lots of Austrians
and Germans at resort. Rest and a bit of laundry then walked with Chris and others
north to cashew plantation, passing oil palms and rubber trees. No fruit. Detoured
to giant Buddha in lotus bus tower, Wat Phra Yai Luang. Good view north of Ao Yai.
Group stopped at Tsunami Bar, but orders badly mixed up. Hornbills showed up. Coconut
red curry had tasty tofu, pumpkin, carrots, aubergines; again nice taste and very
spicy.
